10K, Half Marathon or Marathon training programs
As you begin your journey into improved fitness you'll choose a sensible distance goal of 6.2 miles (10K), 13.1 miles (half marathon) or 26.2 miles (marathon), and train 12 to 25 weeks. Walk it. Run it. Walk and run, run and walk... whatever it takes because now you have the time and the coaches and the structured plan, all within a group that helps you have more fun!
Running and walking training plans
Start short. Slow it down. Gradually add miles. Train two, three or four days each week depending on your goals. Our groups meet for a coaching session each Saturday morning prior to your Saturday workout. With BOISE RunWalk's group training program you’ll have a basic plan and work in the group on Saturdays and occasional weekdays. Choose one or more seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer or combination of seasons, or Lifetime membership package.
Learn how to run. Learn how to have fun
Learn how to run and walk your way to a long distance goal and run without injury. Experiment and learn what works best for you with your friends and coaches. In BOISE RunWalk, you'll learn about sports nutrition, hydration, cross training, injury prevention and strategy... all within a training program with a group of people just like you.
Great reasons to get out of bed on Saturday morning
Oh the comforts of sleeping in. You’ve worked hard during the week and Saturday mornings are your time to sleep in... but not with BOISE RunWalk. When the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming and the squirrels are doing whatever they do, Saturday morning you'll join your group of friends and work together towards taking back your life.
